The kinds of activities and programs we offer
Teaching Exercise
Mixed Martial Arts and Strength Training offered twice a week by certified teachers in an inclusive setting at a professional studio in Blairstown, NJ. Coordination, and Self-Defense emphasized to control aggressive and anti-social behaviors. Classes open to the general public as well as young adults with disabilities. Private Pay or DDD Approved payments accepted.
Teaching Mindfulness
Yoga classes each week taught at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall by certified teachers . Emphasis on mantas, controlled breathing, guided meditation and essential oils to control anxiety, stress, repetitive behaviors and ADHD. Classes are open to the general public as well as young adults with disabilities. Private Pay or DDD Approved Payments accepted.
Teaching Independent Living
Residential Living includes Private Furnished Bedrooms with Wi Fi and TV for each resident, shared bath, three healthy meals, daily snacks, in-house fully equipped gym, pool, greenhouse, four flower and vegetable gardens and access to all teaching programs on 5 acres in tranquil Green Farms in Green Township, New Jersey.

Teaching Inclusion
The Awesome Club takes 12 trips out into the Community every year. From the Metropolitan Museum of Art to Six Flags Great Adventure to hiking in Jenny Jump State Park, Life With Joy Inc stresses inclusion in the Community. All clients insured by the Life With Joy. Friendship, working together, good behavior in public, handling money, traffic, crowds, and noise are addressed. Private Pay or DDD payment.
Teaching horticulture
This class will prepare you for a career in
Agriculture, Landscaping, Farming and Gardening. This is a year round program - planting in Spring, Harvesting in Fall, Greenhouse in Winter. This is a DDD Approved Goods & Services Class and meets Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 am - 12:00 noon at our partner working farm in Wantage, New Jersey.
The cost of the class is $55/class. Students as well as Parents, Friends and "Farmers" are welcome.
Culinary Arts
This class will prepare you for a career in Food Preparation. Learn the basics in a small, safe atmosphere with friends.
This is a DDD Approved Goods & Services Class and it is open to the general public as well - The class meets every Monday evening 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the fully equipped commercial kitchen of the First United Methodist Church in Newton.
The cost of the class is $55/class. Students as well as Parents, Friends and "Foodies" are welcome.
